The Gary Job Corps recreation department operates six facilities and numerous outdoor recreational areas. Students can enjoy the use of the Gary Cinema, drill and dance team building, the Gary Deluxe (home economics building), billiards hall, swimming pool, and activity center. The activity center houses a three court gym, weight room, racquetball courts, aerobics rooms, music room, and arts and crafts facility. The recreation department offers students a diverse variety of recreational activities both on and off the campus. The recreation department provides students positive leisure time activities that refresh the mind and body, allowing students to better focus on the training they receive while at Gary.

The Activity Center is one of the newer structures on campus. It includes a gym, weight room, and boxing room. The campus has a pool hall, baseball fields, tennis courts, and swimming pool. Students engage in various organized sports and activities including basketball, softball, football, weightlifting, boxing, arts and crafts and more!!!
