CNA students at Job Corps

Academics

In addition to career training, Gary Job Corps also provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Courses in independent living, employability skills, and career success skills are offered in order to help students transition into the workplace. We also have several academic programs to help our students achieve their full potential.

GED/High School Diploma

One of our top goals at Gary Job Corps is to ensure that every qualified student obtains his or her GED or high school diploma or both.

  • GED
  • High school online (Penn Foster)
  • Texas private school diploma - Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI)
  • Texas public school diploma - Texas Education Agency (TEA)

ELL Program

Our English Language Learning (ELL) Program is offered to students needing to learn English. Students will use some of the world's best language-learning software to help them in their transition. Students also receive regular instruction that relates to their chosen career technical training.

Driver's Education

Adult and teen driver's education classes are offered to all students. Students receive all the required training to obtain a Texas driver's license.
